Volleyball Recap: Freeman Takes a Loss

Freeman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bryan Vikings. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Freeman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jalesa Ragas had 11 digs. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Ragas.

Freeman's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Bryan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-20.

Freeman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against El Campo on the 2nd. As for Bryan, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against The Awty International on the 30th.
