Soccer Recap: Walton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Etowah last Tuesday, Walton came back down to earth. Walton fell just short of the Roswell Hornets by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Walton were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Roswell apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Walton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Roswell and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walton will square off against Sprayberry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walton's defense better be ready for this one: Sprayberry has averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Roswell, they will take on North Cobb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
