Softball Recap: Jones County Comes Up Short

Jones County was the 8-7 winner over Union Grove when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Greyhounds took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines on Wednesday. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jones County's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Union Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Jones County and Union Grove should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Greyhounds (ranked 81st) will meet Woodland (ranked 250th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Union Grove will face off against Stockbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (127 vs. 377).
