Softball Recap: Pine Creek Wins Going Away Against Fountain-Fort Carson

Pine Creek's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans as they made off with a 13-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Abigail *Abby* Stenerson made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kailani *Kai* Shideler was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ahlanna Rymski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Pine Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .581. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .406 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Pine Creek's record is now 16-3. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Coming up, Pine Creek will take on Vista Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they will welcome Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
