Softball Recap: West Laurens Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Laurens). Everything went their way against the Hephzibah Rebels on Thursday as they made off with a 19-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for West Laurens, bringing their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Hephzibah, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, West Laurens will host Veterans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hephzibah, they will venture away from home to challenge Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
