Football Game Preview: Glades Central Raiders vs. Bishop Verot Vikings + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Armaud Stinfort and Macrae Thompson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Glades Central Raiders will welcome the Bishop Verot Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glades Central will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Glades Central played against Clewiston last Friday and won via forfeit.

A big part of Glades Central's victory came down to the chemistry between Taj Barnes and his top target Algernod Crawford. Barnes threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes while Crawford picked up 98 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Crawford really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 82 yards.

Glades Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Wade Antoine and Jaylin Bouie. Bouie has been hot, having also posted at least one defended passe the last five times he's played. Glades Central received some extra help from Gary Mann, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Bishop Verot's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 43-0 win over Oasis. That looming 43-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vikings yet this season.

Bishop Verot had a senior duo take command as Alec Dusold rushed for 95 yards and two scores on only seven carries and Deshon Jenkins Jr rushed for 92 yards and one TD.

Bishop Verot was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Bishop Verot's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Dwyer Camron and Luke Bauer, who racked up four sacks between them.

Glades Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Bishop Verot, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Glades Central might still be hurting after the 32-6 loss they got from Bishop Verot in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jenkins Jr, who rushed for 256 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards.
