Basketball Game Preview: Cajon Cowboys vs. Glendora Tartans

Having just played yesterday, the Cajon Cowboys will jump right back in to play the Glendora Tartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Cajon sitting on four straight victories and Glendora on seven.

While Cajon didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 39-13 margin over Indian Springs on Wednesday. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Ja'Niya Zamora continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up ten points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Sepulveda, who posted four points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Glendora humbled Valley View with a 68-17 victory. The Tartans are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout on Wednesday was the fifth game they've won by 20+ points this season.

Cajon's record now sits at 5-2. As for Glendora, their record is now 7-0.

Cajon couldn't quite get it done against Glendora when the teams last played back in December of 2019 as they fell 44-34. Can the Cowboys avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
