Softball Recap: Westran Comes Up Short

If Westran was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Van-Far on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Bearcats on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Westran's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Northeast, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Westran will host Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northeast, they will venture away from home to challenge Paris at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
