Basketball Recap: Allie Sexton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sunny Hills over El Dorado

Sunny Hills played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 55-35 to the El Dorado Golden Hawks. The Lancers have struggled against the Golden Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Allie Sexton, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Rianna Jones, who scored nine points.

Sunny Hills' loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for El Dorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunny Hills will head out to challenge Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for El Dorado, they will head out on the road to take on Crean Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. El Dorado will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
