Football Recap: Percy Julian Starts off Right with Win over Paul W. Bryant + How To Watch

Percy Julian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 23-2 margin over the Paul W. Bryant Stampede. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Phoenix's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Stampede are ranked 215th).

One reason for the win was Percy Julian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Jeremiah Chaney with two. George Hunter was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Percy Julian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-6 loss against Carver Montgomery on the 30th. As for Paul W. Bryant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 27-3 defeat against Minor on the 28th.
