Softball Recap: McCook Bison vs. Wray/Yuma Eagles
McCook and Wray/Yuma pushed the score to 19-0 the last time they played Wray/Yuma, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Bison never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bison.
Not much got past Gracey Cornelsen, who gave up just five hits to keep Wray/Yuma off the board. Cornelsen has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Josilin Miller was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Peterson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
