Football Recap: McPherson Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McPherson can now relate to. They fell 33-20 to the Augusta Orioles on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Orioles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-29 two weeks ago.

McPherson has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Augusta, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

McPherson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Augusta, they will square off against Mulvane on Friday. The Orioles will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
