Soccer Recap: Long County Triumphs

Long County's and Woodville-Tompkins's matchup on Friday was close at halftime, but Long County turned on the heat in the second half with five goals. The Long County Blue Tide never let the Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Blue Tide have won three contests by more than four goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Long County's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Woodville-Tompkins, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Long County will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Islands at 7:00 p.m. As for Woodville-Tompkins, they will face off against Savannah Arts Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodville-Tompkins has given up an average of 3.1 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
