Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Foresthill

Foresthill had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the Encina Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 25-0 win. Given the Wildfires' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 620th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Foresthill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Amy Saxelby, Paisley Dysart, and Marissa Miller picked up one apiece. Saxelby got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Foresthill's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Encina, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Foresthill will head out to challenge Mesa Verde at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Encina, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 31-18 win against Elite on the 15th.
