Recap: Wyoming Area Warriors vs. MMI Preparatory School        
        
		
            
 The Wyoming Area Warriors had to endure  a  six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past MMI Preparatory School with  points to spare on Thursday, taking the game  40-21. Wyoming Area's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Leading Wyoming Area to victory were  Abigail Sterba and  Krea Bonita.  Sterba  scored seven points along with eight  steals and five  rebounds, while  Bonita  scored 13 points along with five  rebounds and five  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Bonita has scored at least 25% of Wyoming Area's points.  Morgan Slusser was another key contributor,  scoring four points along with six  steals.
 Despite the loss, MMI Preparatory School still got an impressive performance from   Bria Kringe, who  scored 15 points along with three  steals. Those three  steals set a new season-high mark for her.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, MMI Preparatory School  struggled to get the ball back on offense and  finished the game with only four  offensive rebounds. That's the fewest  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Wyoming Area's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for MMI Preparatory School, their loss was  their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  bumped their record down to 0-4.
 Wyoming Area and Pittston will round out the year against one another at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday at. MMI Preparatory School will finish  2023 at home by hosting Notre Dame at 1:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Pennsylvania (Notre Dame is ranked 560th, while MMI Preparatory School is ranked 583rd).
