West Mesquite won the last time they faced Creekview and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wranglers claimed a resounding 53-21 victory over the Mustangs. Considering the Wranglers have won seven games by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ahmari Washington, who picked up 91 receiving yards and two scores. Creekview also got help from Brendyn Shed, who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.

West Mesquite's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Creekview, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Coincidentally, West Mesquite and Creekview will both be playing Newman Smith the next time they take the field. The Wranglers will host the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
