Softball Recap: Flint River Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Central Fellowship Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flint River Academy). They walked away with an 18-14 win over the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Rhyan Banks, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Callahan, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.

Flint River Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Fellowship Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .344.

Flint River Academy's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
