Mesilla Valley Christian School faced Hagerman/Lake Arthur in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The SonBlazers blew past the Bobcats 50-0. That looming 50-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the SonBlazers yet this season.

Mesilla Valley Christian School didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Luke Dwyer and Damon Castillo. That interception was Castillo's first of the season.

Mesilla Valley Christian School's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hagerman/Lake Arthur, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
