Soccer Game Preview: Santana vs. West Hills

The Santana Sultans will face off against the West Hills Wolf Pack at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santana's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Santana managed to keep up with Steele Canyon until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Santana came up short against Steele Canyon, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Sultans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 851st, while the Cougars are ranked 327th).

Meanwhile, neither West Hills nor Valhalla could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

West Hills' draw gives them a new season record of 8-5-3. As for Santana, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1.
