Basketball Recap: California Military Institute Takes a Loss

California Military Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 54-14 loss at the hands of the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors. The game marked the Rough Riders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

California Military Institute's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Desert Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

California Military Institute and Desert Christian Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. California Military Institute (ranked 730th) will meet California School for the Deaf-Riverside (ranked 226th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Desert Christian Academy will face off against Twentynine Palms at 4:00 p.m. on Monday down 341 places (496 vs. 155).
