Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Penn Treaty

Penn Treaty waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They snuck past the Mastery Charter Hardy Williams Knights with a 42-36 victory. This was payback for the Wovles, who suffered a 55-32 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Penn Treaty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabella Ortiz, who went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Those five steals gave Ortiz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Rogers, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 13 points and five steals.

Penn Treaty's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Mastery Charter Hardy Williams, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Penn Treaty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-42 victory against Philadelphia Academy Charter on the 22nd. As for Mastery Charter Hardy Williams, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-16 defeat against Abraham Lincoln on the 22nd.
