Football Recap: Rock Hills Comes Up Short

Rock Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs 58-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzlies of the 60-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Rock Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sylvan-Lucas, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Rock Hills is taking a road trip to challenge Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will need to watch out since the Leopards have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Sylvan-Lucas, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
