Soccer Game Preview: Menlo-Atherton vs. Valley Christian

The Menlo-Atherton Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Valley Christian Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Menlo-Atherton is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Palo Alto on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Valley Christian put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand King's Academy a 1-0 shutout. The Warriors' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Grace Morton, who's now up to seven this season.

Valley Christian pushed their record up to 5-0-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. With that draw, Menlo-Atherton's record moves to 1-2-1.
