Volleyball Recap: Molly Southall and Addison Billingsley Secure Win for Wilmington

Wilmington won the last time they faced Reed-Custer, and Sami Liaromatis did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wildcats came out on top against the Comets by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Liaromatis, who had 12 digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Wilmington easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19.

Leading Wilmington to victory were Addison Billingsley and Molly Southall. Billingsley had nine digs and eight assists, while Southall hit 75% for six kills and ten assists and five digs. Those nine digs gave Billingsley a new career-high.

Wilmington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Reed-Custer, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Coming up, Wilmington will take on Dwight at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Reed-Custer, they will head out to challenge Lisle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
