Soccer Recap: Belpre Comes Up Short

If Belpre was feeling good fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Shenandoah on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Marietta Tigers on Thursday, falling 8-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Belpre of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Belpre's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Marietta, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Looking ahead, Belpre will take on Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marietta, they will head out on the road to face off against Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexander will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Marietta surely won't give up without a fight.
