Basketball Recap: Warren Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warren). They took down the Costa Mesa Mustangs 41-25 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bears with their most commanding win of the season.

Despite the loss, Costa Mesa still got an impressive performance from Leilani Quero, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Myah Martinez, who had four points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Warren's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. As for Costa Mesa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Warren will be taking part in a tournament against Ocean View at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Costa Mesa, they will host University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
