Soccer Game Preview: Cholla vs. Amphitheater

The Cholla Chargers will head out to challenge the Amphitheater Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Wednesday, Cholla didn't have quite enough to beat Sahuarita and fell 4-3. The loss continues a trend for Cholla in their meetings with Sahuarita: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Amphitheater's offense. They fell 2-0 to Douglas on Monday.

Amphitheater's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Cholla, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Cholla couldn't quite get it done against Amphitheater in their previous matchup back in January of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
