Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey De La Salle's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Cristo Rey De La Salle lost against Quarry Lane back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cristo Rey De La Salle Mustangs took a 31-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quarry Lane Cougars. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Quarry Lane found their leader in sophomore Avery Arsanjani, who posted 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Arsanjani has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Liu, who earned eight points.

Cristo Rey De La Salle's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-3. As for Quarry Lane, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Cristo Rey De La Salle will head out to challenge California School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quarry Lane, they will welcome Drew at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
