Northwest Whitfield has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Adairsville Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bruins have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Northwest Whitfield's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Adairsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
