Basketball Recap: Gompers Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Gompers Prep Academy lost against Liberty Charter back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gompers Prep Academy Eagles took a 27-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Charter Lions. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Gompers Prep Academy's record now sits at 0-3. As for Liberty Charter, they moved to 1-8 with that victory, which also ended their 19-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gompers Prep Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ocean View Christian at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Liberty Charter will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Castle Park at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
