Football Recap: Council Grove Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Council Grove took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 26-7 victory over the Wabaunsee Chargers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Council Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Samuels, who picked up 49 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Samuels also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making two total tackles.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Council Grove's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
