Softball Recap: Rockdale County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rockdale County extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping them down to 8-18. They lost 16-4 to the Clarke Central Gladiators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 back in August.

As for Clarke Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10. The result was nothing new for the Gladiators, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Clarke Central's part, Gabby Campbell was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Campbell a new career-high. Alex Ozuna was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Looking ahead, Rockdale County will be playing at home against Mundy's Mill at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitcher better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Clarke Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
