Baseball Recap: Morrow Takes a Loss

Woodland hit Morrow with a six-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 14-5. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2025.

Christian Randolph and Traeveyon Stephens stepped up to the plate in a big way. Randolph went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Stephens got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Morrow's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Woodland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Morrow will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodland, they will venture away from home to face off against Adairsville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
