Soccer Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview lost against Bakersfield Christian on January 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ridgeview Wolf Pack fell just short of the Bakersfield Christian Eagles by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Wolf Pack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 541st, while the Eagles are ranked 217th).

Ridgeview's goal came courtesy of Jasmine P. Salazar, who's now up to three this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Ridgeview and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Bakersfield Christian, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 9-5-2.

Ridgeview will venture away from home to square off against Independence at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bakersfield Christian, they will welcome Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Bakersfield Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
