Buchanan is 9-0-1 against Central since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Buchanan Bears and the Central Grizzlies will meet for a tough Bear Battle. Buchanan will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Buchanan's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Clovis with a sharp 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 11 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Central entered their matchup against Clovis West on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Central fell 2-0 to Clovis West. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Grizzlies couldn't quite close it out.

Buchanan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matchups. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-3.

Everything went Buchanan's way against Central in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Buchanan made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buchanan since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
