St. Rita is a perfect 3-0 against Leo since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will square off against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. St. Rita's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four contests, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Rita is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: St. Laurence, who was ranked first at the time (St. Rita was ranked 15th). The Mustangs lost 19-2 to the Vikings on Tuesday.

St. Rita saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Quinn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Leo fell victim to Saint Ignatius College Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 13-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Leo's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for St. Rita, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Everything went St. Rita's way against Leo when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as St. Rita made off with a 10-2 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
