Baseball Recap: Umatilla Comes Up Short

Umatilla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Vale, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Vale this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Saturday.

Umatilla's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Vale, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Umatilla will head out to challenge Stanfield/Echo at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vale, they will venture away from home to take on Baker/Powder Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
