Soccer Recap: Groveport-Madison Comes Up Short

Groveport-Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Licking Heights Hornets, falling 12-0. While losing is never fun, Groveport-Madison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 424th, while Licking Heights are ranked 163rd).

Groveport-Madison now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Licking Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Groveport-Madison wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, an 8-0 defeat against Teays Valley on the 11th. As for Licking Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-2 victory against Zanesville on the 11th.
