Recap: Mission Oak Hawks vs. Dinuba Emperors
There's no place like home for the Mission Oak Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 44-37 victory over Dinuba on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Mission Oak, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Sierra Calantas continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Zepeda, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Mission Oak's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Dinuba, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Mission Oak will head out on the road to square off against Tulare Western at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Dinuba, they will be playing at home against Hanford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hanford will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
