Basketball Recap: Lindhurst Comes Up Short

If Lindhurst was feeling good fresh off their 51-6 takedown of Highlands on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The matchup between the Blazers and the Vacaville Christian Falcons didn't end well, with the Blazers falling 48-30. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-28 back in January.

Despite the loss, Lindhurst still got an impressive performance from Ashlynn Wheeler, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 boards. Wheeler has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played.

Leading Vacaville Christian to victory were Elena Vizcay and Danielle Ruff. Vizcay dropped a double-double with 12 boards and 11 steals, while Ruff dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Vizcay has posted since back in January of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jenna Glide, who earned six points and five blocks.

Lindhurst's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Vacaville Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Lindhurst didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-26 defeat against Mesa Verde on the 10th. As for Vacaville Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-22 win against Highlands on the 11th.
