Softball Recap: Northgate Find Success + How To Watch

Northgate's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rockmart Yellowjackets, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since September 7, 2024.

Ella Grace Kramer was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Clark, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

The victory got Northgate back to even at 1-1. As for Rockmart, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Northgate wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Morrow on the 12th. As for Rockmart, they will welcome Union County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Yellowjackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
