Basketball Recap: McConnellsburg Comes Up Short

McConnellsburg lost against Everett back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The McConnellsburg Spartans took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Everett Warriors.

Everett's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kirstin Feathers, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Feathers a new career-high in points. Jade Colledge was another key player, putting up 15 points.

McConnellsburg's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Everett, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

McConnellsburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-37 win against Southern Fulton on the 7th. As for Everett, they have also already played their next contest, a 59-34 victory against Meyersdale on the 8th.
