Basketball Recap: Kinley Purdy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lake-Lehman over Nazareth Area

If Lake-Lehman was riding high fresh off their 62-28 takedown of Riverside last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 51-28 to the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 37-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kinley Purdy, who posted ten points along with seven boards and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Oliver, who put up five points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

Lake-Lehman's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lake-Lehman has already played their next contest, a 55-17 victory against Wyomissing on the 29th. As for Nazareth Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-22 defeat against Hazleton Area on the 29th.
