Basketball Game Preview: Lyons Lions vs. Front Range Baptist Falcons

Meanwhile, Front Range Baptist waltzed into their game on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 59-38 win. Lyons better focus on containing Nathan Jaques and Benjamin VanDenBerghe as the pair were huge in Front Range Baptist's win. Jaques went 9 of 16 en route to 19 points and six rebounds, while VanDenBerghe went 7 of 14 on his way to 17 points and six steals. That's the most steals VanDenBerghe has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Sutton, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lyons has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.5 rebounds per game.
