Basketball Recap: Conestoga Christian Comes Up Short

Conestoga Christian played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Linville Hill Warriors, falling 44-18. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Conestoga Christian lost, don't look at Regan Hails. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 11 on her way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Hails is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

It was another big night for Desiree Smucker, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 18 points and three steals for Linville Hill. Courtney Good was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Conestoga Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Linville Hill, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Conestoga Christian will take on Dayspring Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Conestoga Christian's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Dayspring Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Linville Hill, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on State College at 5:39 p.m. on December 27th.
