Football Game Preview: Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks vs. Wallace County Wildcats

The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks will venture away from home to square off against the Wallace County Wildcats on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Wheatland-Grinnell turned things around against Greeley County on Friday. They put the hurt on the Jackrabbits with a sharp 34-8 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Thunderhawks just coasted through the last quarter.

Meanwhile, Wallace County got themselves on the board against Logan/Palco on Friday, but Logan/Palco never followed suit. They blew past Logan/Palco, posting a 50-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matchups by 40 points or more so far this season.

Wallace County's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4.

Wheatland-Grinnell was dealt a bruising 46-0 defeat at the hands of Wallace County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Thunderhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
