Baseball Recap: Cascade Takes a Loss

Cascade blew Danville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Danville got their revenge. The Cadets fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cadets have suffered since May 24, 2025.

TJ Turner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Cascade has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Danville, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade will square off against North Montgomery at 6:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Danville, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Sullivan at 11:00 a.m. The Golden Arrows' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
