Soccer Recap: Port of Los Angeles Takes a Loss

Port of Los Angeles lost against GALA back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears lost 6-0 to the GALA Goddesses. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 775th, while the Goddesses are ranked 117th).

This is the second loss in a row for Port of Los Angeles and nudges their season record down to 7-10-1. As for GALA, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

Port of Los Angeles is taking a road trip to face off against Stella High Charter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Stella High Charter Academy's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for GALA, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Locke at 4:00 p.m. GALA is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
