Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Shasta Bears vs. Fall River Bulldogs

Mt. Shasta is 0-10 against Fall River since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Mt. Shasta Bears will look to defend their home court against the Fall River Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Mt. Shasta is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They lost 57-31 to Trinity. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 946th, while the Wolves are ranked 257th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fall River, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They breezed by Etna to the tune of 69-23 on Tuesday. That looming 69-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Fall River's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-9. As for Mt. Shasta, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Mt. Shasta took a serious blow against Fall River when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 70-27. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mt. Shasta was down 46-13.
