High Point Christian Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against New Garden Friends recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Bears at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

High Point Christian Academy is headed out to face New Garden Friends after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Cougars enjoyed a cozy 70-52 victory over Shining Light Academy last Tuesday.

Carter Anderson and Sonne Williams were among the main playmakers for High Point Christian Academy as the former dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jysen Seymore, who posted nine points and three steals.

High Point Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shining Light Academy only posted seven.

Meanwhile, New Garden Friends was able to grind out a solid win over Carolina Friends on Tuesday, taking the game 45-34. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Quakers: they've now won four in a row.

High Point Christian Academy strolled past New Garden Friends in their previous matchup back in January of 2017 by a score of 77-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
